CD-ROM - Network Edition

The Macmillan English Dictionary Network CD-ROM combines all the features of the individual CD-ROM with the convenience of a flexible network licensing procedure. Additional user licences are available, which means that customers can upgrade the CD-ROM to suit the size of their institution.

Convenience

The network version of the CD-ROM, available from local distributors and bookshops, is available in three bands, allowing multiple users to access the CD-ROM concurrently: 2-20 users; 21-50 users; 51-100 users. After purchase of the most suitable licence, customers can obtain upgrades, to add additional concurrent users, by accessing www.macmillandictionaries.com/network.

Flexibility

After you have purchased and registered your network CD-ROM, you can apply for a licence upgrade at any time, so that more students can access the Macmillan English Dictionary at the same time. Remember that by 'users' we mean concurrent users, not number of workstations. This concurrency allows much more flexible and widespread usage across your institution. If the whole institution has been networked, users do not need to use a pre-selected workstation in order to benefit from the CD-ROM, but can be anywhere in the network.

Information and technical support

As all network CD-ROMs have to be registered with Macmillan, we can provide technical support for institutions using the CD-ROM. We’ll also keep you up-to-date about the latest dictionary, CD-ROM and network developments, so that your institution can offer the most appropriate products to your students.

If you require more information about the MED Network CD-ROM, please send details of your requirements to mednetwork@macmillan.com and wait for us to contact you.
