I come from Hungary. I studied English Language and Literature at the University of Szeged in south-east Hungary where I also completed an English Language Teaching degree, writing my dissertation on the role of monolingual dictionaries. I taught English as a foreign language in Hungary and briefly in the Netherlands.
I have been part of the Macmillan Dictionaries team since 1999 and have been editor of MED Magazine, the monthly webzine of the dictionaries resource site, since its beginnings in 2002.
These days I am based in Amsterdam, but I frequently travel to the UK. I'm a keen but rather lazy runner and in my free time, in addition to the occasional long-distance jog, I also enjoy squash, films and books.
