Over the past five years, the Macmillan English Dictionary has won a number of prestigious awards, has been transformed into both a CD-ROM and an online resource, and has sponsored English-language contests around the world. Members of the Macmillan dictionaries team have traveled the globe, taking part in conferences and events everywhere from Chile, Malaysia and Kenya, to Russia, Japan and the Czech Republic. The webzine, MED Magazine has gone from strength to strength and Macmillan authors have been writing regular columns in travel magazines, and even an exciting book on neologisms.

This year, Macmillan English Dictionary's range of products won a pretigious British Council Innovation Award, and was on the BBC!
2003
The Macmillan English Dictionary Online was launched in 2003, and a network edition of the CD-ROM became available.
