Dictation
To complement MED Magazine and the popular e-lessons series, we also offer dictionary-focused dictation exercises, written by Straightforward authors Philip Kerr and Lindsay Clandfield. Please click here to download Philip's tips for using dictation in class.
Inspired by the starred red words in the Macmillan English Dictionary, these exercises look at common learner problems and use real-life examples to help illustrate key points.
The MED dictation activities are published every two months, and feature:
- a topical audio download
- a transcript of this recording
- detailed teacher's notes which, if used in full, provide a complete lesson of one hour in length
- a glossary of difficult words and terms for your students' reference
MED dictations are designed for students at Upper Intermediate level and above.
