Goodbye to hi and hey to catch ya

As electronic communication has increasingly taken over from more traditional methods of keeping in touch, the language we use has also changed, particularly our greetings and farewells. This month’s Macmillan English Dictionary e-lesson features an article looking at these new expressions and how they have made their way into common parlance. It goes on to explore some of the more idiomatic vocabulary in the text.
